Vampires and female private investigators are back once again with Eagle Rock’s latest DVD release of the Blood Ties series.
Vicki Nelson, Henry Fitzroy, Mike Celluci are back on the case, investigating a new series of mysterious and gruesome crimes throughout Toronto. As the cases become more bizarre and complex, the relationship between Vicki & Mike becomes fractured. Meanwhile, Henry’s behavior creates suspicion for all involved in the cases, casting doubt among the three. In the final episodes of the series, the action and the conflicts reach an intense peak!
Being a fan of the original DVD release of Blood Ties, I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into the second DVD of the series. The same talented cast is back with more new stand-alone episodes and series arc episodes.
As before, Cristina Cox is simply captivating as Private Investigator Vicki Nelson. Her charisma and acting skills are truly what contribute to the show having such a strong presence.
Also, as before, the show is presented in its original widescreen aspect ratio. However, it appears that once again the high-definition audience will find issues viewing the series, as it is still not amaphoric for widescreen televisions.
Sadly, the show was taken off lifetime television since its numbers were not high enough; but this DVD, in combination with the first one, offers a great way to preserve the series.
