Michael Bay Wants To Destroy Washington D.C.According to Fandango, there is a bit of of conflict about where Michael Bay would like to shoot some scenes for the upcoming "Transformers 3" movie. The director was hoping to have some scenes shot in Washington, D.C., but, apparently, some think it is just too much for the nation's capital to handle.

Bay was denied the chance to have a 14-day shoot in D.C., and even denied a scaled back version of the shoot into a 3-day stint. The shoot was to include a possible car chase in the National Mall, but Bay was shot down on the idea altogether.

"A lot of this could be more appropriately shot in a Hollywood studio," said Bill Line, the Park Service spokesman. "The National Mall is not an area in which Americans come to see high-tech action movies being shot."
