Peter Weller Signs on for Star Trek Role

Peter Weller, star of "Robocop", is going to be joining the cast of the "Star Trek" sequel. There is no word, as of yet, on what role he will be playing. He is said to be a "principal" character, however.

The original cast will be returning as well the addition of Alice Eve and Benicio Del Toro.

This will not be the first time Weller has been a part of "Star Trek". He played in two episodes of "Star Trek: Enterprise" in 2005.

Production is set to begin on the film early next year.
