NBC Orders 10 Episodes of Dracula Series

NBC has announced that they have ordered 10 episodes of a new series, "Dracula". The new show will star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who will be playing the title role.

The show ill be set in the 1890s, and is described as "Dangerous Liaisons meets The Tudors".  Meyers, of course starred in the "The Tudors".  The storyline will follow Dracula, who arrives in London posing as an American entrepreneur. He claims he wants to being modern science to the people of Victorian society, but in reality, he works to get revenge on those have ruined his life hundreds of years earlier.

Producing the show will be Krantz's Flame Ventures, Callender's Playground Entertainment, Universal TV and NBCU International Prods.' Carnival Films & Television.
