Guy Ritchie in Talks to Direct Live Action Aladdin
It has been announced that another Disney Animated Classic will become a live action action film. This time, Aladdin will be the one to receive the makeover, and Guy Ritchie is in talks to direct.

John August (Big Fish) has written the script and Dan Lin (The Lego Movie) will be producing . Ritchie just wrapped up filming King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword with Charlie Hunnam and Law for Warner Bros.

Aladdin joins the rank of many other films that have gotten the live action makeover, including Maleficent, Cinderella and The Jungle Book.  Other animated classics-turned-live action will include Beauty And The Beast on March 17, 2017, followed by Mary Poppins Returns on December 25, 2018. The Lion King was also just announced, with Jon Favreau directing.
