Amanda Bynes Moves To End Conservatorship

Former child actress, Amanda Bynes has filed a  petition to end her conservatorshp after nearly nine years.  The 35-year-old was a fan favorite on teenage TV shows and movies throughout the 2000s.  Bynes hasn't been in the entertainment industry since before 2013, when her conservatorship began.

According to Bynes's lawyer, David A. Esquibias, Bynes believes her condition has improved and she no longer needs the protection of the court.  Bynes has petitioned to end her conservatorship for herself and estate in Ventura County Superior Court in California.

The conservatorship was led by her parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, after mental health, substance abuse, and legal trouble.  Her parents are behind her petition and support her decision to end the conservatorship.
