Peter Jackson's Weta Digital to Create Silver Surfer
9/25/2006 1:58 PM EST
Weta Digital, the effects house known best for The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, has been selected to create the effects for Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer. Most notable will be the effects work for the title character (Silver Surfer) which will involve their state of the art motion capture process. The process, used to create the character Gollum in The Lord Of The Rings, will bring the liquid metal Silver Surfer to life with the acting talents of Doug Jones serving as the motion capture source.
The voice talent for the character is not yet known. Look for the film in theaters summer 2007.
