Lost - The Complete Fourth Season DVD Review

Another exciting and suspenseful season of lost has finally come to DVD. If you haven't bothered to watch from the beginning, then there's no point. The show is as serial as they come. With so much information for viewers to absorb there's simply no way anyone could jump into the middle and expect to have the slightest clue. So before I even go any further - if you haven't watched the first three seasons stop reading this now and go rent, buy, beg, borrow, or steal them. Well, maybe not steal. We really got thrown a curveball in the series with the arrival of the fourth season. This season kept us on our toes all the way until the last episode. With only two more seasons ahead, our questions should be getting answered soon. I love how this show is just as exciting as it was when it was first released. All 13 episodes of this fourth season are exciting and I can't pick a dull one out.
Season 4 brings back the usual cast, along with some new faces. Of course it wouldn't be Lost if we didn't see some characters just… disappear. The new characters fit nicely into the storyline also.
Audio/Visual:
This show looks great even when it's in standard filming definition. This quality is thanks to the cinematography, not to mention the fabulous setting. Episodes are presented in 1.78:1 widescreen enhanced for television, providing a sharp picture and crisp color.
Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround sound will make you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle. This DVD will sound best if you have surround sound. Your 2.0 audio track will sound just fine also. There are also subtitles available in Spanish and French.
Extras:
Just like the previous DVD's, season 4 has a great set of special features. Features include behind the scenes look at filming and production. Also included is a special feature giving us an inside look at all the weaponry used on the show. The DVD also has a compilation of bloopers and deleted scenes.
This DVD is a must for anyone Lost fans. Any fan won't be disappointed with the vast amount of special features this set contains. This package is top quality in every aspect. You better hurry and catch up with season 4 because season 5 comes out in January. Be sure to add this must have DVD set to the top of your holiday shopping list!
