Registered movie fans control what gets seen on the popular front page movie news section by voting on individual movie stories to "Flick" them up the list. The more flicks a movie story gets the higher it appears and only popular movie stories can be promoted to the coveted front page.

Nathan M Rose, Founder and CEO

Nathan has always loved movies, but his real passion began when he saw Die Hard and Terminator 2: Judgment Daywhile growing up in South Florida. Ever since then, movies have become his life; and his mind was made up that would be his career choice. After successfully working in the internet market space since 1996, Nathan Rose along with Eric English founded FlickDirect Inc., in 2006 -- fulfilling his lifelong dream to be part of the film industry. Aside from running FlickDirect, Nathan has also appeared in various online productions and films.

Eric English, Founder and President

Eric English, has loved movies ever since he was a little Jedi master. Though he mainly enjoys comedies such as The Big Lebowski, and In Bruges his taste in movies spans a wide genre of film. Holding a degree in Computer Science and Digital Arts - including work in 3D modeling - Eric is constantly fascinated by what they can put on the screen, and looks toward the future of film with anticipation and wonder.

Walter Tetzner, Chief Technology Officer

Walter grew up on a dairy farm, and didn't have a lot of free time. But when he got the chance, he liked to spend it on movies. Not only watching movies, but also making them. Walter developed an interest in stop motion animation, and began creating short animated videos, of which the Clive series is a survivor. With a degree in Computer Science and Discrete Mathematics, Walter also spends his time working on the technology behind FlickDirect.

Chris Rebholz, Senior Critic

When Chris was but a wee lad growing up in the slums of suburban New Jersey, he happened to rent a little movie called Tron. Then his head exploded. It was at the moment that he realized that he loved movies, and since then Chris has made it a habit of renting movies, going to the movies, discussing his favorite movies, and anything else in between when it comes to that genre. It has been Chris’s passion and hobby for years now and will be for years to come.

Maureen Buccellato, Content Management Coordinator

Maureen's taste in film and television is across the board; from horror to romantic comedies, drama to science-fiction, she likes them all. Aside from taking time out her life to watch her favorite show, True Blood, and films directed by Kevin Smith, she is the person constantly reaching out to her contacts in the film industry to get the latest scoop to bring to the FlickDirect readers.

Staff

Stephen Compall, Editor

Ostensibly a programmer from faraway places, Stephen recognizes that making up your mind about movies and television is a simple matter of imposition in the form of review, and he who controls minds controls the world. No word yet on how that second part is progressing. After seeing many films, a few good, for FlickDirect, he returned to faraway places, but still checks in from time to time.

Roger Longenbach, Critic

Since he was very young, Roger has enjoyed going to the local theatre and seeing a good film on the big screen. Starting with the lines for The Empire Strikes Back, Roger has especially enjoyed the Star Wars franchise, culminating with his attendance at the Washington, D.C. premiere of Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace. But in 1990, when the Little Mermaid came out on video, Roger experienced a resurgence in the Disney brand, something he hadn't felt since he got the "I love Gurgi" button in 1985. Roger has since seen almost every Disney and Pixar animated pictures during their runs in the theatres. He enjoys movie music, especially those from most Disney animated features.

Marco Chacon, Correspondent
Marco Chacon isn't quite sure what he's doing here. Exposed to radioactive movies at a young age he has gained the proportional strength and agility of celluloid which hasn't proved good for much. However, on the Internet, it's opinion that counts (who needs facts!?) and Marco sure has one of those. Several, in fact. Some contradictory. He has written and published the JAGS Roleplaing Gaming System, and is still waiting for Revenge of the Jedi to come out.

Penny McLean, Correspondent

Penny's love of the film industry began at a young age while attending a movie premier while living overseas. That experience led Penny partaking in many film festivals, meet & greets with actors and being dubbed the "Go To Critic" by friends and family!

Victoria L Hanson, Junior Correspondent

Victoria has been a movie buff ever since she was old enough to comprehend the cinema-going experience. Victoria's taste mostly stays in the Science Fiction genre, and she is a huge fan of vampires. Aside from her work here at FlickDirect Victoria is currently pursuing an acting career.
