Zac Efron Joins Parkland Cast

Zac Effron has signed on to star in "Parkland", the upcoming film that focuses on the events taking place around the Parkland Hospital in Dallas on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

Effron joins Marcia Gay Harden, Paul Giamatti, Billy Bob Thornton and Jacki Weaver in the big screen adaptation of the Vincent Bugliosi non-fiction book "Reclaiming History".

Filming will take place in Austin, Texas, and the release will take place in 2013 on the 50th anniversary of the assassination.
