The Mandalorian and Grogu are set to embark on a thrilling new journey-this time, onto the big screen. Jon Favreau is set to direct, with production led by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni. The upcoming chapter in the Mandalorian and Grogu saga is scheduled to commence filming in 2024.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Favreau stated, "I have cherished the opportunity to weave tales within the intricate universe crafted by George Lucas. The idea of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the grandeur of the big screen is incredibly exhilarating."

Kathleen Kennedy, the President of Lucasfilm, remarked, "Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have introduced two captivating characters to the Star Wars realm, and this new narrative is a perfect fit for the cinematic experience."

"The Mandalorian & Grogu" will take the lead in Lucasfilm's ongoing lineup of feature developments, which includes projects directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni. Filoni is also actively working on the second season of "Ahsoka," among other exciting ventures in progress.
