Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes Join Cast of '28 Years Later'

Danny Boyle's highly anticipated film "28 Years Later" has recently announced the addition of esteemed actors Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes to its cast. This installment serves as a continuation of the iconic "28 Days Later" franchise and is set to be globally distributed by Sony Pictures, following in the footsteps of its predecessors released in 2002 and 2007.

The original "28 Days Later" marked a turning point in the careers of its stars, notably launching Cillian Murphy into the spotlight. Directed by Boyle and written by Alex Garland, it garnered critical acclaim and laid the groundwork for a successful sequel, "28 Weeks Later." Now, with Boyle and Garland onboard as producers, along with Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernie Bellew, the franchise is poised for another thrilling chapter.

While details of the plot remain tightly under wraps, anticipation is high for Garland's screenplay, which will reportedly be part of an upcoming trilogy. Nia DaCosta is in discussions to helm the second film, adding to the excitement surrounding the project. Additionally, Murphy's involvement as an executive producer adds further depth to the production, though his return to the screen has yet to be confirmed.

Comer, fresh off her Emmy-winning performance in "Killing Eve," joins the cast alongside Taylor-Johnson and Fiennes, both celebrated for their versatile acting prowess. With a slate of upcoming projects, including "The Bikeriders" for Comer, and highly anticipated releases like "The Fall Guy" and "Nosferatu" for Taylor-Johnson, the trio brings a wealth of talent and anticipation to "28 Years Later." As the film continues to generate buzz, fans eagerly await further updates on this thrilling addition to the beloved franchise.
